The United States Department of the Treasury announced that two new regions in Puerto Rico were designated as Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ).

One of the regions include Census Tract number 721191301, in the Municipality of Rio Grande including the development of the old Coco Beach Golf Resort in Rio Grande, the club that a few years ago bore the name of now president Donald Trump.

Qualified Opportunity Zones are low-income communities that receive tax benefits in order to foster economic development and job creation.
