After completing an investment that exceeds $ 2.8 million, the iconic Hotel Fox Delicias  reopened its doors on October 30, 2019.

The iconic structure, closed almost a decade ago, will initially feature 30 rooms, restaurant, conference area and game room. Its second phase, to be completed between the months of December 2019 and February 2020, will add 20 rooms on the first level.

The redesign of the hotel was conceived in tune with the resurgence of the Pop Art movement, coined in the middle of the last century by world-famous artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

Opened in 1931, the Fox Delicias Theater was one of the most popular movie theaters in Ponce until 1980. The structure was designed by the Ponceño architect Francisco Porrata-Doria, a pioneer in the island of monumental architecture and creator of others city icons such as the headquarters of the Banco de Ponce and the Banco Crédito y Ahorro Ponceño, in addition to the Meliá Hotel.

Between 1991 and 1998, Fox became a shopping center and from 2004 it experienced its first stage as a 30-room hotel, until it closed in 2010.
