The telecommunications company T-Mobile announced that its 5G network is already in operation in Puerto Rico.

Jorge Martel, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile in Puerto Rico said he hopes to continue the growth of customers with the announcement of the 5G network. The aforementioned network will be available in the United States and Puerto Rico.

“When we rebuilt after Maria we didn’t have a commercial estimate, fortunately it went very well. We are doing well, right now we are very lucky. We just left a Black Friday weekend. We had growth that we had not seen before, so we argue that we will continue to grow in an accelerated manner, more than anything because we are preparing the network for extremely accelerated growth. We have seen the departure of AT&T from the Island, that has brought us a growth also beyond what we were growing, “Martel specified to Metro questions.

Similarly, the executive said that in Puerto Rico there are 3,200 miles of 5G coverage and that it includes areas of all municipalities, including Vieques and Culebra.

In addition, Martel explained that he hopes to grow double digit continuously and that they are preparing the network to grow in subscribers at the level of network utilization.

The phones that will be available from Friday on the Island with 5G capacity are:
OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren
Note10 + 5G
