Amid the emergency caused by the coronavirus, the secretary of the Department of Health , Lorenzo González , indicated today that the quarantine could be extended until June.

The official, during a press conference, indicated that he would recommend to the governor not to relax the curfew due to the data available to the agency.

“Yes, my position is that there will be no modification until at least June 1,” the health secretary said to questions from the media about whether he would recommend extending the curfew. The current executive order issued by Governor Wanda Vázquez imposes a curfew until May 3.
